been a long road to follow
been there and gone tomorrow without saying goodbye to yesterday are the memories I hold still valid? or have the tears deluded them? maybe this time tomorrow the rain will cease to follow and the mist will fade into one more today something somewhere out there keeps calling am I going home? will I hear someone singing solace to the silent moon? zero gravity what's it like? am I alone? is somebody there beyond these heavy aching feet still the road keeps on telling me to go on something is pulling me I feel the gravity of it all Maaya Sakamoto - Gravity >> [link] << I've been working on this between doing a commission and some other things. I LOVED doing this, after drawing 4179471294942 hair it's really nice to do something cel-shaded. Of course I also like drawing hairs and fur details, but my hand started aching a lot. :'D But as probably many of you can see, this is fanart for one of the greatest series ever, Wolf's Rain. I loooveee it. x__x When I finished watching it, I knew that I had to draw fanart of it. especially the musics are great and the anime itself is so sad. (haven't read the manga but I like watching things more than reading). I was listening to the soundtrack while doing this and it gave me a lot of inspiration, the title is actually a song from the OST. Hige was maybe the nicest one to draw, but Tsume is my favorite of them. X3 and don't ask why I didn't put Blue there, I like her a lot but I wanted only the main wolves here. Blue is not a full wolf and joins the group later, noooh. I tried to mimic the art style of the anime a bit, but I hope that my style can still be seen here.  Oh and while doing this (and before realizing that I should only open the OST file and not all of my music files), I forgot that I had shuffle on and suddenly super mario theme started playing x__x and even worse, my winamp got stuck for a while so there it played and aaargh. But yeah. Hope you like it as much as I liked drawing it ^^ Characters © BONES art © me Photoshop CS3, about 6 hours. |
